About The Event

The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), in collaboration with NISG, is organizing a one-day workshop on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 to enhance awareness and understanding of data protection and governance frameworks across government and industry sectors.

The workshop aims to build institutional capacity around the DPDP Act by highlighting the roles and responsibilities of Data Fiduciaries, data classification practices, consent management, and privacy by design principles. It will feature expert-led sessions by Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and industry leaders, offering practical insights into implementing compliance mechanisms, technical safeguards, and data governance strategies aligned with the Act.

The event will bring together senior officials from MeitY, NeGD, government bodies, and private sector organizations to collectively engage in knowledge-sharing and capacity-building. The initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure responsible and secure data handling practices while empowering stakeholders in their journey toward data privacy compliance and digital trust.
