About The Event

In the last eight years, under the guidance and leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister, India has implemented several digital transformational projects and some of these include Aadhaar (Digital Identity), Unified Payment Interface (Digital Payment), Digilocker (Paperless Governance), UMANG (Mobile Governance), API Setu (Data Exchange), CoWin Vaccination Platform, Government e-Market Place (Public Procurement), DIKSHA (Digital Education), Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission (Digital Healthcare), etc. The basic building blocks of India Stack are based on open standards, are interoperable and many services have been made available through Open APIs for entrepreneurs and developers to build value added products and services by leveraging the APIs, of products like Digilocker & Healthstack. Developer community, System Integrators, private sector technology companies and entrepreneurs are inherent part of the India Stack Ecosystem.

One of the initiatives that can be shared globally is India’s expertise in Digital Technologies and experience of implementing Digital Transformation projects at population scale. There have been continuous requests, received from various countries, regarding India contributing to the Global Digital Public Goods repository. https://www.indiastack.global/ with 12 digital transformational initiatives have been launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on 4th July 2022. The portal is accessibly in all 6 UN languages.

As we take India stack to the world, it is important to engage with the developer community to explore ways and means in which we can further develop solutions for societal problems by leveraging artifacts of India stack and to take India stack products to other countries that are interested in replicating some of these solutions. With this objective, MeitY & NeGD are organising the India Stack Developer Conference on 25th January 2023 from 10:30 a.m. onwards at Silver Oak, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The conference will be graced by Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Government of India.

The main discussion points to be covered are as follows:

  • How can developer community leverage India Stack to fast-track innovation?
  • How can developer community contribute to India Stack?
  • What can Government do for ease of doing business using India Stack?
  • How to arrive at a common mechanism of engagement?
  • How can developer community support in making India Stack Go Global?
